Iyengar is a type of yoga that uses poses similar to Hatha, only Iyengar focuses more on body harmony and balance.

Iyengar Yoga focuses its practice on precise posture and pays close attention to detailed body anatomy. What makes it different is that Iyengar Yoga usually adds posture modifications using tools such as ropes, blankets and blocks.

This yoga method is very systematic and usually aims to increase body strength, flexibility and body stability. Iyengar Yoga is also very useful as therapy, you know.


Kundalini Yoga combines posture, movement, sound, breathing and meditation in a powerful set of exercises. This exercise aims to increase body vitality and self-awareness. Bikram yoga consists of 26 poses performed sequentially. Adapted from the traditional Hatha Yoga practice, but performed in a room heated to 105 degrees Fahrenheit. This aims to optimize the detoxification process, relax muscles and produce more sweat to cleanse the body and eliminate symptoms of disease.

Despite its detoxification function, yogis do not recommend doing bikram frequently because of the risk of dehydration, hyperthermia, changes in blood pressure and heart problems. What you need to remember is that before doing Bikram yoga, you should drink enough water to maintain fluid levels in the body.


If you look at the poses performed, this type of yoga is very dynamic, challenging and seems more difficult. Ashtanga Yoga focuses on the practice of synchronizing breathing and hot movements from within the body, so that it can cleanse the body.

There are at least two methods in Ashtanga Yoga practice:

Led Class, namely practicing yoga with the guidance of a teacher or instructor
Mysore, where you practice by following a series of postures.
